does anyone out there have any wise words for us to live by?
a favorite motto?
please share your wisdom if you don't mind.
Sometimes your the windshield...and sometimes your the bug.

last summer i went to a wedding of a relative that is a witness.
we're not disfellowshipped or disassociated, but have been inactive for about ten years.
because no one mentions our history to others, very few members of our relatives congregations, even know we used to be witnesses.
At my husbands grandmothers funeral wake, the witnesses were out in force. We were at a table with other family members who were no longer JW's.
This table was set out for us in advance...far away from the JW's who were at the front near the buffet.
Nothing like being a second class citizen with your own family.
The JW's are so ridiculous with their faux power.

well it looks like my plan to fade might not work after all.
yesterday afternoon i was in my office when two elders stopped by for a visit.
they came into my job and began to question me in front of my boss and my new assistant!
Lola,
I am so sorry this happened to you! Those Elders are complete jerk-off's!
Don't they care if they get you fired? A lot of employers wouldn't be so supportive! You are very lucky to have your boss stand up for you!
I'd call the legal department in Patterson and tell them what happened and how you could have lost your job etc...that you were reprimanded etc ( I know you weren't).
I'd make it rain poop down on those elder's heads from above!
And if everything else fails, I'd file a harrassment complaint with the police!
Best Regards,
Chrystal
there is a few things that i am involved in, and have been for quite sometime.
i feel that it is important to raise my children in this type of environment, so that they see outside of the box, and not be so closed minded on our surroundings.
many are in need, and it is easy to close our eyes and forget.. my main charity work will always benefit children.. this weekend i have gathered many things from my house such as kids clothes, shoes, jackets...and i bought many blankets, cook ware, along with money etc... this will all go to easter seals.
Hi Brooke,
I knew you were nice, but to find out you do charity work too...you're so sweet!
I make quilts for Project Linus - they give quilts to children who are sick in the hospital and have branched out to giving quilts to kids who are in hard family situations. They will sometimes give the quilts to the police and fire department to distribute when they give out Teddy Bears.
I also Moderate my local Freecycle email list. I believe so much in this organization. They give everything away for free. People ask for and receive items they need or want.

well it wasn't the long awaited visit we have been looking for, but i guess they are still working on it!
my husband and i have been waiting for over 5 weeks for a reply back from the elders as to the date discrepancy of 607 (between the watchtower references and the appendix.
)we blew them away when they were here, and said they would go do the research...until today we have heard nothing from anyone.
There are no secrets at the KH. Everybody knows everything about everybody elses business.
It makes me sick. They say they are so loving, but is it loving and compassionate to gossip and tell lies about people.
I would write a letter or call on the telephone to Brooklyn and tell them the situation. Maybe a CO will come in and make all their panties get into a bunch for their behavior. Give a nice talk about gossip....and then 20 minutes after the meeting they'll be back to gossipping again!
I'd ask them to stay away because they violated your privacy and you cannot trust them.
Best Regards,
Chrystal
i've become confused w/love in these past two years.
my wife says she's polyamorous.
that opened my eyes to a whole way of seeing things.
Love is wanting the absolute best for the object of your affection.
Whatever you do in your marriage is your business, but it wouldn't be happening in my marriage.
I am jealous and someone would get killed...I'd miss my husband.

i actually never liked the memorial.
it was`nt a very spiritual occasion at all really.
i hated feeling guilty about not doing the scheduled bible reading.
I hate the memorial.
For something they make such a big deal about, it is sofa king boring.
All those once a year people suddenly show up like Jesus was coming to the hall that night!
So stupid! Always the same boring talk, too many people, snorefest!

how many currently or in the past have worked from home??
any ideas that can be shared to make this an even more pleasant work environment?
i know for me it would be more interacting with other business owners living the same life style.
I have worked at home for 6 years. Not only being mom to my 2 wonderful sons, but also selling on ebay.
I also have worked for a reputable company doing transcription at home over the internet.
It's nice to be with my boys and I haven't missed any of their milestones.
I have a area in my house where I keep all my work stuff. I wake up early when the boys are sleeping and work, also stay up late.
I see people more regularly now that my oldest is in school.
